Client Requirements
I believe taking on a new client is like hiring a new employee, which is why I have some requirements for all my clients. It’s not that I’m picky or cocky, but I want all my campaigns to be optimally efficient, and I believe that these requirements will make sure that’s always the case.
Then also look into productivity tracking software if you have remote staff and are unsure of if they are working as well as they can be. We have seen several businesses use that and it’s worked really well so well worth a look.
Web savvy, or willing to learn
Don’t worry, you don’t have to know all the ins and outs of, let’s say, LSI, but some basic knowledge of the web (and marketing) would be nice. If you don’t have any, that’s not a problem, as long as you’re willing to learn more about it. After all, when a contract ends, wouldn’t it be great that you have gained much more than just good rankings?
Willing to invest
Sorry, but if you’re looking for 1,500 ‘manual’ directory submissions for $199, or 50 PR2+ links a month for $49, I’m not your guy.
Also, I’m not just talking about cash investments here. Willing to invest also means that you’re willing to follow or discuss any advice I give you. On-site changes, new additions to your site, and tons of other actions could have an effect on your overall link structure or link profile. Neglecting (or simply not wanting to do) this, and just focusing on link building instead, makes any link marketing campaign inefficient. And inefficient link building campaigns make me unhappy.
Reasonable goals
There’s nothing wrong with being ambitious, but don’t expect that I can make your two-month old website rank for ‘home loans’ within a few weeks. I’ll be more than happy to give you an indication of what I think is reasonable in your situation, so feel free to contact me any time.
This also works the other way around, by the way. If your main goal is to rank well in Bing.com for ‘cheap burgundy snow scoop Hawaii’, we’ll work on some better goals together ;)
Appealing website & products
If you want to be #1, you’ll need a website that deserves to be number one. Either you have one, or you’re willing to (slowly) build it.
Also, I at least got to have some feeling with your website and/ or products. After all, how can someone who doesn’t understand (or like) your products help you market it?
Do you match these requirements?
Then we’re a perfect match! Please fill out this form, and we’ll have a chat ;)
