Link Building this Week (34.2008)
22 Aug
You sure want to prevent having to tell your customer that his or her website isn’t linkworthy. After all, link building for crappy websites can be pretty difficult. With the right link bait inspiration, you’ll be able to create good content (such as a nice list post), but -unlike some seem to think- this doesn’t guarantee incoming links yet.
Joost has been really busy this week. After translating and publishing Erik-Jan‘s article about B2B link building, he also updated the SEO link analysis plugin for the new Yahoo SiteExplorer.
And also:
- Rand Fishkin shows how the link graph works
- Google mocked a link exchange request (pretty funny)
- Patrick Altoft signals that anchor text has less weight in Google’s algorithm
- Jason Lee Miller wrote about a tear in the link economy fabric
And interesting stuff from the SES in San Jose:
- Igniting viral campaigns – Bruce Clay
- 43 Killer viral tips from top marketers – Aimclear
- Link building basics – SearchEngine Roundtable
