As many search marketers and site owners are tempted to opt into the easy route of buying links, I stand firm in that it is not worth it in the long run. Common sense tells that if the search engines want people to have the best experience possible than eventually people being able to buy their rankings (via lots of links) should become more and more obsolete or overlooked. 

Wouldn't it make sense that the site with the most money could buy the most links and thus make itself rank the highest, eventually? I can't see this cat and mouse game going on for too much longer. A natural result should be just that....natural, not bought.</description>
