Danny,
The method I describe in my article is for determining whether or not a blog link is sending value - this can be done by quickly checking to see if the site being linked to is ranking for the link anchor text. This is much easier to do using long tail keywords only found in the anchor text and not on the site's page copy.

If a blog is sending link equity, then the sites being linked to should rank for the long tail link anchor text. Make sense?

Thanks Wiep for including me on this list!

Danny, Gyutae does make a few good points and his post shows how difficult it is to value specific types of links.

Oh, and as a matter of fact, I just subscribed to your RSS earlier this week ;)

Hi Wiep,

Nice roundup post, I'd love to hear your opinoin on Gyuates Park's post about link value as it doesn't seem very accurate to me.

Also could you consider my blog for next week/month's roundup?

Thanks
